I have set up a business with my sister called Honeybee Photography based in Rishton specialising in portraiture and wedding photography.
Logos
I have created some different logo's using Adobe Illustrator. I have experimented with different colours, text and drop shadows.

This photo shoot was in two part, one a family photo shoot with parents, grandparents and baby, the second part was of the baby which he wanted to use at focus on imaging.

I have photographed a few day old baby. At this age they sleep quite alot
I have photographed a four month old baby girl. In this shoot I have used a variety of different boxes, a white back ground and blankets to make each image different from the last shoot.
These are some of my favorites from this shoot.
I use a lot of cushions and pillows to prop the baby up and I usually shake a rattle to attract the babies attention.
Focusing on the eyes will also keep the rest of the face in focus.
Post production - slightly improving the brightness level and increased the contrast.
I have cropped some images sqaure to see how it will change the image.
With every shoot I make package images, this usually includes a main of the child and then three small detail shoots such as hands and feet. I have cropped the images sqaure for this to work.

This photoshoot was of a four year old.
I feel this photoshoot worked well in black and white. Using small props like flowers look effective on the images outcome and it gives the image a different appearence with different colours and textures.
This was the first time had this baby boy found his feet so its important to photograph children quickly because you will miss the moment.
Post production -Increased the tempture to give a warmer tone.
I found that photographing a child that has a motif on their clothing makes cropping an image difficult. This is something I have been working on.
This photoshoot was a four month old baby boy. I have changed the back ground to a wood texture back drop.
Post Production -
A black and white high contrast preset I made in lightroom, I feel it works well with the above image.
Hats on a studio portrait can shadow the face so it is important to light under the brim of the hat.
Post Production - Vingnette and increased contrast.
Working with a large group people has made my confidence improve because I had to direct people that didn’t really know how to position themselves. As the client was very specific in what he wanted for focus on imaging, it made it hard for me to add any of my creativity to the shoot.

This brief has really taught me about the industry. Ive learnt alot about photographing people, lighting techniques, poses, post production skills and a good understanding of how the industry runs. I found parts of this challenging but I feel I overcome these obstacles.
